中興名物 唐物文琳茶入 銘若草 南宋時代~元時代 肩から胴へと緩やかに膨らみ、「林檎」の異名である「文琳」の名にふさわしい小壺。全体は明るい飴色の釉薬でなだれの露先は、ほんのりと瑠璃色を帯びる。後陽成天皇が釉薬の調子より「うすくこき野へのみとりのわか草に跡まてみゆる雪のむら消」(新古今和歌集・宮内卿)の和歌を想起され、若草の勅命を得た。また小堀遠州と親交のあった南禅寺の本光国師(金地院崇伝)の所蔵であったことから、「國師文琳」とも呼ばれる。付属の堆朱楼閣人物図盆は、元時代の制作年、作者名のわかる秀作である。
