A homage to the work of William Morris’s floral designs and illustrations of the 19th Century. Exploring the realtime growth of flowers to form a modern illuminated letter, used by Morris in his own publications as a remedy to the ugliness of the new industrial world. Inspiration for the flowers used in the film came directly from Morris’s own floral illustrations, inspired by William Robinson work popularising the ‘English cottage garden’ giving the film a summer time feeling as the light moves
